What the Public Sees

"Now when he was in Jerusalem at the Passover Feast, many believed in his name when they saw the signs that he was doing. But Jesus on his part did not entrust himself to them, because he knew all people and needed no one to bear witness about man, for he himself knew what was in man." John 2:23-25

The part that jumped out at me was that Jesus needed no one to bear witness on His behalf.

Jesus performed signs, wonders, and miracles, but when did He pose for the press or shake hands with the religious leaders afterwards? He didn't!

He knew what was in people. He knew that when the people saw these things, they were going to spreed the word all around!

Jesus went around doing what He was called to do. His ministry. He didn't give thought to publicity and making sure the people knew His name. God took care of those things.

We need to go around and focus on our ministry! We need to focus on being the hands and feet of Jesus. The part of our reputation that we need to worry about, is making sure the people see the Godly works we are doing.

God will take care of the publicity. Let's just make sure they have something to see.
