This verse feels fresh and alive. It's begging us to understand just how awesome is our God.
Our invisible God revealed Himself. We know his name now. We can talk to Him freely. There was a time when none of this was normal.
"And you, who once were alienated and hostile in mind, doing evil deeds, he has now reconciled in his body of flesh by his death, in order to present you holy and blameless and above reproach before him." Colossians 1:21-22
Our awesome, invisible God is not invisible. He came for us, died for, and lives in us. One day, He will come again for His faithful servants. Those He made holy, blameless, and above reproach when He stormed the halls of hell, holding the keys to our souls.
Our God has never been invisible. Our awesome God has always been coming for us.
Let us rejoice in our God, who was, and is, and is to come!
