Learning How To Breathe

"When Seth grew up, he had a son and named him Enosh. It was during his lifetime that people first began to worship the Lord." Genesis 4:26

Can you imagine what it must have been like discovering how to worship God? Can you imagine the people then? They wake up one day, but this day is not like any other! No, today is the day they discover worship. The day they enter His presence for the first time!

They arrive, and the burning in their souls intensifies, squeezing the air out of their lungs. Naturally, and yet so foreign, they begin to string together words with melodies to honor God. For the very first time, it feels like they are truly breathing. They have discovered their everything.

As time went on, the method of worshiping God changed. There were periods when worshiping God took a lot of work. When Jesus died and rose again, that all changed. Worship became much easier.

We take for granted what is so accessible to us. We can worship God in a split second. Yet we ignore the voice in our hearts, telling us to step into His presence.

Hopefully, we all discover how to worship God for the first time, and you experience the freedom He gives you. Hopefully you discover you are breathing again.

May you discover that every time.
