Paul is saying that since he has been imprisoned, many men in the imperial guard have started sharing the Gospel. Not all of them have the best of motives. Some men proclaimed the Gospel out of good will and love, but some proclaimed the truth out of rivalry and envy, thinking it would bother Paul.
But Paul didn't care.
He did not care why they were talking about Jesus. All he knew was that Jesus' story was being shared, and he could rejoice about that.
The Gospel spread through the imperial guard while they stood by Paul's doorway. Paul was there to answer questions and correct misconceptions.
A fool can mockingly say that Jesus died for our sins, but that doesn't make it any less true.
If they are talking about God, a door way is open. They were listening. Listening enough to repeat it. And if they are confused about something, then it's our job to help them.
But let's rejoice that they listened in the first place, eh?
