Breath of LIfe

"In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form and void, and darkness was over the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters." Genesis 1:1-2

"Then the Lord God formed the man of dust from the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living creature." Genesis 2:7

What I really wanted to say with these verses was that without God, we are a lot like the earth was before God did His amazing work. We are void and without form. Just like the earth.

Without God breathing into our lives, we are nothing. Just a pile of dust.

We NEED God. So much more then we realize or acknowledge. We need His breath of life in us. When you hear someone say, "He (God) is the air I breath," it's true. Not just figuratively, but literally. God is our physical air. Without His breath of life, we are not alive.

And without His breath of life to our souls, we are not spiritually alive.
