An Army, Not a Hotel

"When the unclean spirit has gone out of a person, it passes through waterless places seeking rest, but finds none. The it says, 'I will return to my house from which I came.' And when it comes, it finds the house empty, swept, and put in order. Then it goes and brings with it seven other spirits more evil than itself, and they enter and dwell there, and the last state of that person is worse than the first . So also will it be with this evil generation." Matthew 12:43-45

Unless you are careful, no, unless you are diligently focused, committed, and solely fighting for God, evil will come back. All the things we have conquered this year will do no good if we let the enemy into our hearts like we are a nice Bed & Breakfast. We, as the body, are not a place where fear, anxiety, hopelessness, anger, and temptation can come back to stay awhile. We are not a hotel. We are an army! So we need to be God's army.

"Blessed be the Lord, my rock, who trains my hands for war, and my fingers for battle." Psalm 144:1

"Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm." Ephesians 6:13

Only with God, can one fight off the enemy. Let Him train us, so we become a Heavenly army. As one, let's take up our swords, immerse ourselves in God, and stop renting our hearts out to the enemy!
