Now, tell me the truth:
When you read Ecclesiastes, do you ever hear a balloon deflating in the back round?
It's one of those books in the Bible you go to when you're having a BAD DAY. When you feel like everything is meaningless.
I read this, "everything is dust," rant for a couple chapters when I saw an answer.
"...Also, He has put eternity into man's heart.." Ecclesiastes 3:11
My mind immediately went to Colossians 3:2, "Se your affection (dude, that's your "heart!") on things above, not on things on the earth."
Isn't it great that we have the whole Bible to make sense of stuff?
Guys, most of this junk is kinda meaningless. Our fancy cars, our jobs, our super cool stuff.
That's all "down here" stuff. They are overrated perks.
Focus on stuff that's going to be in Heaven.
God---Focus on getting to know Him better! People---Focus on sharing the Gospel, and loving your family and friends!.
Those are the important things.
Not the newest IPhone.
