"Short Sweet And To The Point"

The following thought is contained in only two short verses or thirty one words. Jesus used these thirty one words to paint a picture that has one purpose, to tell us just how much God loves us.  "Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant seeking beautiful pearls, who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all he had and bought it." Matthew 13:45-46

These thirty one words tell of a man who found one pearl that stood out far and above all the other pearls and because it was so much more beautiful it had a great price tag attached to it.  Because he fell in love with it, because he desired it so much, he was willing to pay the asking price.  In order to do it he had to sell everything he had and went back and purchased it.

The first few words of this parable tell us that the kingdom of heaven is like this.  The kingdom of heaven would do this. The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are the merchant. In genesis when all the, "Let there be...etc." were all said and created, including Adam and Eve it says, "Then God saw everything that He had made, and indeed it was very good." They created us and fell in love with us. Take a look at Proverbs 8:22-31 It is talking about the creation and ends with this statement, "...And my delight was with the sons of men."

God's love for us is real! His desire to have us around is real! The great price for that to be possible is also real and HE PAID IT!

His message - short, sweet and to the point. Two verses, thirty one words, just to say, "Your precious to me  I'll do what it takes to love you forever!"
