"The News Spread And She Believed"

... and she said to the men: "I know that the Lord has given you the land, that the terror of you has fallen on us, and that all the inhabitants of the land are fainthearted because of you.....And as soon as we heard these things, our hearts melted; neither did there remain any courage in anyone because of you, for the Lord your God, He is God in heaven above and on earth beneath." Joshua 2:9-11

By faith the harlot Rahab did not perish with those who did not believe, when she had received the spies with peace. Hebrews 11:31

Rahab picked her side! She hid the spies for one reason. She had heard and believed the report of the things that God had done on behalf of His people to provide for them and to give them the land. She had determined the outcome of the upcoming battle based on the news that had come their way.  She knew who would win and proclaimed, "for the Lord your God, He is God in heaven above and on the earth beneath." If someone who didn't know God could determine the outcome and know who would win the battle, how much more should you and I as believers who have read to the end of the book be declaring His goodness and His sovereignty in our life.

After all, He is the Lord our God and we are His people!
