"What If You Were There?"

"For with God nothing will be impossible." Then Mary said, "Behold the maidservant of the Lord! Let it be to me according to your word." And the angel departed from her. Luke 1:37-38
      -------------------------------------------------------------
What's your response?  - What if an Angel comes to you and tells you that He is about to use you to do something great. You like Mary did recognize that its physically impossible. Then Mary said to the angel, "How can this be, since I do not know a man." The angel proceeds to tell her how, gives her news about Elisabeth to confirm things and ends with, "For with God nothing will be impossible." Mary's immediate response is to say, "Yes." to the possible that God presents her with. Immediately she responds with, "Let it be to me according to your word."

What's your response?  - What if your are a young new queen. You know that the former queen was banished and replaced because she had refused the king. You know it can mean your life if you enter his chamber without being sent for and the words that come to you are, "Yet who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?" Easter's response is to trust the one who brought her to such a place in the kingdom as she proclaims, "Pray, prepare, ...so I will go to the king, which is against the law; and if I perish, I perish."

What's your response?  -  What if you are in a storm and you see Him walking towards you, doing the impossible, Walking On The Water!  You cry out, "Lord, if  it is You command me to come to You on the water." So He said, "Come."  Peter's response ...And when Peter had come down out of the boat, he walked on the water to go to Jesus. Matthew 14:28-29  Peter's response is to get out of the boat and do the impossible at a single word from Jesus.

Obviously I can go on and on and on with examples from His word that bring us back to the same place, the same question. What is our response?

Why? Because for such a time as this He has brought us into the kingdom as well!

Why? Because, like Mary, He has a call on our lives and He wants to use us to bring salvation through the Lord Jesus Christ to the world around us!

Why? Because He wants us to choose to believe His word and the possible it promises more than the impossible our circumstances present us with so that we can boldly proclaim Him to all mankind.

Why? Because He commanded Peter to join Him in doing the impossible and He wants us to join Him in doing the impossible as well!

Why? Because His word to us today is a question ...."Will you believe me?"

What will you respond? Will it be?... "Let it be to me according to your word."..."I'll go, if I perish, I perish." ...or maybe? ...You'll even agree to walk where He walks?
